I am enjoying this list you're making. I am quite ruthless in the ownership of my books and will give away those that I don't enjoy or have a particular need for and happily rely on libraries for others. However, I can easily imagine my collection expanding if once given the opportunity to do so. Like couch grass and oxalis in the garden, all they need is a foothold and soon every flat surface is a bookshelf.
